Community support is crucial to our existence and we are thankful to all who have donated to help us continue our mission to collect, preserve and educate about the rich history of Cape Elizabeth.

CEHPS is steward to the history of Cape Elizabeth. We are in the process of digitizing all of our holdings and making them accessible online to everyone. 

You may make donations:

• mail a check to: CEHPS, 1000 Shore Road, Cape Elizabeth, ME 04107. Please include your name, address, and email.

Donating Items

We obtain most of our collection of artifacts and documents through the generosity of members and the general public. If you own items that you think might be appropriate for our collections, we would love to hear from you. You may bring items in during our open hours or call or email ahead and make an appointment. 

You will be asked to fill out an accession sheet. Please be prepared to tell us as much as you can about the history of the item, and if possible, provide documentation related to its history and use. Context for the item you want to donate - where it came from, who it belonged to, etc. - will be important information for us to record. Materials should be associated with individuals, buildings, businesses and other organizations with Cape Elizabeth connections.

We prefer unconditional donations. However, if you have items you cannot part with, please consider letting us photograph or scan them to add a digital version to our records.
